Welcome to Gingerbread Cottage Playgroup

A PRE-SCHOOL SETTING ESTABLISHED WITHIN LAUNDE PRIMARY SCHOOL SINCE 1993

We provide care for children aged 2 years and 6 months to 5 years old, accommodating up to 38 children.


We have two large playrooms, the Blue Room and the Green Room, each offering a variety of play experiences. These include role play, messy play, and cognitive activities that foster creativity and critical thinking.


Our key focus is on preparing children with basic life skills, instilling good values, and equipping them with the tools needed to transition smoothly into a school environment. We emphasise the development of both physical and mental skills through activities such as children's yoga, meditation, and core physical exercises to enhance coordination. Additionally, we teach children about the environment and sustainability through engaging activities like planting and growing fruits and vegetables, recycling, and learning about lifecycles.
