HOW TO APPLY FOR
Funded Early Education
We are pleased to let you know that we accept all types of childcare funding across our settings. At our Gingerbread 2 Nursery site, we only offer a stretched funding option over 49 weeks of the year. This means that instead of receiving your funded hours during term time only, your child’s funded hours are spread more evenly across the year. Many families find this option helpful as it provides childcare support during most school holidays as well as term-time.
Gingerbread Cottage Playgroup and Gingerbread Mews Nursery are term-time only settings.

30 hours funded childcare for children aged 9 months to 4 year olds
Working parents of children aged 9 months+ to 4 year olds can now apply for 30 hours of funding.

Funded Early Education For 2 Year Olds
Parents who are receiving certain benefits will be able to apply for funded early education for their two year old child. If eligible, the child will be able to attend an approved childcare setting for up to 15 hours per week during term time

Funded Early Education For 3 - 4 Year Olds
All three and four year old children in England are entitled to funded early education.

Tax Free Childcare
If you're a working parent with children under 12 (or under 17 for disabled children), you can open an online account to pay for registered childcare. The government will top-up the money you pay into the account. For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2. You can receive up to £2,000 per child, or £4,000 for children with a disability.

Food Vouchers
We collaborate with Leicestershire County Council to distribute food vouchers, ensuring that families of eligible children can purchase food during school holidays.
